Thirteen million people living below the poverty line in the UK
Individuals are going hungry every day for various reasons ranging from benefit delays to receiving unexpected bills on a low income. There are about thirteen million people living below the poverty line in the United Kingdom.
Indeed, our first Foodbank station is opening in West Norwood. Providing a box of food really does make a big difference to lives, as this can help prevent crime, family breakdown, mental health problems, housing issues, and many more.
We need your support to open more food-banks in other boroughs.
Non-perishable food is donated by businesses as well as supermarkets collection points. Our volunteers then sort them out and get them ready to be given to people that are the most in need.
